On Wednesday July 22, 2009 detectives from multiple agencies met at the Stark County Sheriff’s Office to compare notes regarding a recent string of robberies with similar characteristics. Members of the task force compared information, suspect descriptions, reviewed evidence gathered and concluded that it is likely the same individual involved in a string of robberies throughout the region. Since mid-July there have been at least nine robberies which officials now believe are linked.
The physical description of the suspect involved in the robberies is a white male, in his 20’s, with brown or dark hair, between 5’8 and 6’0, slender build approximately 150 pounds and may be missing his left pinkie finger. The suspect has brandished a black semi-automatic pistol and has worn a long sleeved shirt during each of the robberies.
